Default STS window switch delay

I have a 98 STS with a slow window switch. For the window (all of them)to go up or down I have to hold the button for about 2 seconds before it works. The auto down still works but I again have to hold the button down for 2 seconds before it responds. I put a different switch on it I got off eBay and there was no change. Thanks J

I am thinking it might have something to do with my ignition switch, It started having the problems about the same time I had problems with the ignition switch. Any thoughts?

Possibly, GM's are wired kinda funny. Most of the time the window switches are wired in a series, so if any of them are faulty it will mess the whole system up. Try pulling a "slave switch"(not the dr front) from a junkyard car and plugging it into the other doors. Actually disconnect one and see if the rest still work, then you'll know if they're in a series. Remember I'm just a shade tree, there's probly a easier way.
