Default Oil Leak only when REAL COLD???

My 1995 STS i noticed will leave a little puddle of oil when i fire it up in the morning when its REAL cold outside like 5 to16,17,18.... degrees.Real Cold. After the motor warms up, the leak is completely GONE . Nothing on the ground at all the rest of the day. The leak stops completely. This just started yesterday. Should have mentioned that Cadillac put out a recall on the main seal problem and even had to supply dealers with a special tool and upgraded seal. Get your VIN run to see if your car was recalled.

So that means I can take it to any Cadillac dealership, and have them replace the seals, assuming they haven't done the recall already?

Here's a scenario: My car was flooded about 3 years ago and needed to have the engine replaced. If the recall was not completed on that "new" engine, would they still honor the recall? The VIN on the new engine obviously does not match the one on the Car... I don't know what to do.

My car burns oil like a mother, not sure what to do about it... Maybe the recall you speak of will help.
