So i installed a new head unit in my car. The old one had the volume **** pop out, and the cd player quit working. I replaced it with the head unit out of a 2000 with bose. Took it to the dealer to have it programed. The dealer could'nt get it to reset the vin. When the tech 2 pulled up the program screen it showed the vin something like this for the radio...
345**^5678&^*#8910....? Underneath on the next line in the tech 2 it showed the cars correct vin. The tech tried 5 times it would erase the current vin but would not reset with the correct vin. Now i have a code utc 1000 which is no communication???? the radio shows the clock and when you turn it on it shows Theft Lock. Do i have another problem other than the radio? The only other code i have is a ddm code for loss of communication could that cause a problem with programming the radio?
