oil pressure light comes on after about 15 minutes of driving, when idling.
The car hadnt been driven for a while, I got a message saying, oil pressure low turn engine off.

This was 6 months ago. Oil was changed, level is good. That message doesnt appear anymore, but after driving for a little while the little oil pressure light comes on. Do i need a new oil pump? The light seems to come on when im stopped at a light or idling. I start movin, it goes off.

 

have you ever got you issue corrected my car is doing the exact same thing. I was thinking i need an oil pump. Im thinking about getting a lincoln ls

 

You need to have oil pressure checked with mechanical gauge when engine is hot. It may just be faulty sensor.
