I broke that thing that you can hold onto at the top of car?

Default I broke that thing that you can hold onto at the top of car?

What do you call it? It is a 2006 Cadilac SRX? Any information on how to fix or replace this would be greatly appreciated!

They are called assist handles.

FSM instructions for removal are:

Using a flat-bladed tool, gently pry out the outer edge of the escutcheons (1) and push inward.
Slide the escutcheon toward the center of the assist handle.
Remove the 2 screws (1) that retain the assist handle to the roof panel.
Remove the assist handle.

when you said "thing that you can hold onto at the top of car", I had imagined just that, on top of the car, outside .. i was way off.

that grab handle, i guess is used to get in and out of the car, right? I should add one of those to my high 4x4. some have problems climbing the height, so I have to provide a milk crate to step up.
