Helping a close friend, wanted to first rely on you guys and gals before I see him again next week with a scanner. When his car is off and AC is properly off, then crank / start, no issues. He forgot to shut off AC recently and it now happens every time: car off, AC is ON, then he cranks car… a 1-2 second light “grinding” sound from under the hood. Only happens when AC is on and car is started. Doesn’t happen when car is on without AC on, and then turning AC on. Assume not a belt issue. Compressor issue? Happen to anyone else? He has 138,000 miles, well-maintained. THANK YOU!
