The liftgate handle is broken on my 2004 SRX. How can i get it open? There is no punchout in the interior trim. This door opens manually. Do i have to Rip/cut the interior trim? I did purchase a new handle. I am not sure if the cable is broke inside. The problem started when a auto shop replaced a license bulb and did not install the trim back correctly. They must have pinched the handle cable. Now the handle is broke. The door is shut. and no latch panel.
