whistle from under hood

I have a high pitch whistle from under the hood and I dont kno what it is. It seems to be coming from the area near the belt and pulleys. Any ideas?

Air leak, check all vacuum line for tightness or cracks.

Does it have a rhythm like Dixie ? ok .. ok .. kidding ...

after the vacuum lines, also check belt for cracks & glazing .. I bet its still on the original belt ...

I bought the car used but i do think it is the original belt. Im going to change it this weekend and check for air leaks. Thanks

Is it at all speeds including standing still at idle ?

It can be heard at idle but when i give it gas it goes away, but comes back at idle. Also sometimes afterthe motorgets warmedup it goes away all together even at idle.
