The coolant looked clean when I drained it to backflush the heater core so I put it back in. The engine is running at around 197 to 204 in normal in town driving. I won't know if will run dangerously hot until about June or July.But it's ok right now. Thanks for your insite.

I can't find the word Bose anywhere so I will assume it is a non Bose. The system sounds ok as is except for one rear speaker which I think is split because it sounds distorted. So I will install new speakers. For me, all this work is a labor of love. I can handle a simple sound system installation. It ain't rocket science and cars are my hobby and my sport. I look forward to the challenge. The size of the head unit in the dash makes it real easy to install a new unit that incorporates a screen for a GPS and/or a DVD player. These kind of upgrades are worthwhile.

im glad everything is going good and to help with the factory radio verry few in the early 90's came with bose so if it doesnt say bose any where on the radio then your in good shape cuz the bose systems can sometimes be a PITA. anyways good luck hope everyone that has replied has helped you im also glad i can help.

yes, everyone who replied has been very helpful. Thank you all. This forum is worth a lot more to me than any factory of dealer warranty. At least when I do it myself I know it's being done right and to my satisfaction.
