Default Aftermarket Radio/Nav

I had a 2001 Aurora with the Theftlock radio and by changing from stock to aftermarket radio you lost the Info Center (DIC) funtionality. The electronics for it were built into the radio. Is this the case with the 98+ sevilles? Can i put in a new radio without loosing aything else?

Default RE: Aftermarket Radio/Nav

Radio is part of data loop. Mostly likely not, I would check with radio manufacture not saleman for potential problems ahead of time. Also search net for info specific to radio chosen and car your working with. Good experience may not show up, but bad ones mostly likely will. One other thing save original radio and do not let installer cut up harness. Original radio may have to re-installed temperarily if unusal electrical concerns develope long after radio is changed.
