I have a 2002 Cadillac STS that I love dearly. However, when I started it this evening, the Radio/Nave screen was completely blank. I tried pushing all the buttons on the console to no avail. I also discovered that the voice commands button does nothing. Everything else continues to work fine and there are no warnings etc. I seem to remember this happened a couple of years ago and they had to do a system reset, but I do not remember how they did it. Can someone please help . I am currently laid off from work and cannot afford to take this to the dealer.

The cheapset thing to try would be to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if that will reset your system. If that doesn't work we'll get someone here to get you to the next step.

 

i agree. REBOOT just like a comptuer, cuz it is a computer.

for all i know, MS is involved in these things.
