Default 96 Seville SLS possible block leak

I have a 96 Seville SLS. Recently, I took my car to the dealer because I had an antifreeze leak. I could not determine where it was coming from because it was leaking from the area between the block and trans. The dealer told me that they thought it was leaking from the block, areas 5 or 7. However, the only way that they could be sure is if they remove the trans, I have to refill the antifreeze every two weeks. The dealer suggested that I get rid of the car. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Do you know where this leak could be coming from? Do you know how it could be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Default RE: 96 Seville SLS possible block leak

i have a 99 seville sls i just had the same problem my wife told me the caddy low coolant level light came on so i checked it and it was very low. the next day she calls me and tells me it has a steady leak and there is a puddle under the car. when i checked the car i could notice a leak it looked like it was coming from the block by a pulley. When i removed the air box i realized it was coming from the water pump. DURR the water pump has a weap whole on it that when the water pump goes bad it leaks a little coolant. I replaced my water pump myself. really easy took 1hr i noticed it was rusted and had been leaking for a long time. i hope this helps you before u sell your car it cost me $75 for water pump new thermostat and dex coolant. need help removing it email me and i will tell u real easy. tothelimitperformance@yahoo.com good luck
