Default 94 DeVille Trunk Motor

I have a 1994 DeVille. The trunk pull down motor stopped working tonight. Is there a fuse I can check? I can push it down until it locks, and open with either the key fob or indoor button, but it won't pull the lid down. Help!

I have a 91 that had the same problem, sometimes it would go down but most of the time it just would not. I did not want to pay for a new pulldown motor, and I did not want to take the contacts apart with a drill to clean them, so I pulled off the wiring harness and took out the screws to the motor casing, then by turning the armature by hand, lots of turns, I was able to back down the latch to a level that kept the trunk down when I slammed it. Then I put a tywrap on the pulldown to hold it in place, otherwise it will work its way up to the top position. This fix did not cost me anything other that about 20 minutes of time.

I had the same problem on two cars my Seville and my Camaro, it's just the switch. There should be a little black box with a switch on it, it costs i think $20 dollars.
