I really need your help my 2003 cadillac sls shakes while its not in motion itsa really getting anoying i want to say it needs a tune up but i want your advise the car has 48850 miles on it now what wopuld be the type of tune up that i need now i bought the car with 41000 mile and have not done tune ups other than your oil change i really want to have a good guess on whats goin on before i take it to the mechanic and he trys to stick me witha big bill your help is verry well appreciated

yes codes will help diagnosis what is up with your sls.... does the car, shake or miss when it is in motion? if it were me, id make sure the plug wires were on good, from what you are saying.....
did this just all the sudden start happening?....... is anything wet?.... keep the Forum posted.

Well i checked for codes and no codes come up no service light nothing i recently had my crank sensors replace could that be it this started hapenning 4 days after i got them replaced now do you think it might be the timing belt or carbon build up on the fuel injectors i checked the cars cooolant its alittle low and the engine oil has no signs of water in the head gaskets its really weird it feels like it shakes from the front of the engine

 

First, make sure you are pulling codes and not simply waiting for the car to trow them at you .. did you go through the procedure?

Many cars do the idling shake due to a defective or mal-adjusted idle control and/or carbon build up in the throttle intake .. not the fuel injectors, bad primary wires.

instead of providing possibilities of what may be wrong, we can help out better if you provide details of when / how it happens .. read the "how to get help from a TECH "


BTW, dont give a mechanic any possibilities either, you will pay extra for him to try that also. Details, details is what saves $$$.

Plugs or coil packs will do that. No plug wires on an 03 boys.

 

i am going trought the procedure of pulling the codes ived noticed that the shaking gets worse when im runnig low on fuel then once i put gas it doesnt shake as much

 

No codes come up its extreamly weird well i have a guy comming to diagnose the problem ill keep it posted but suggestions are still welcomed
