Default Manual ***** for soft top latching

Is there a trick to getting the ***** to lock down the soft top? One of the power motors works (passenger), but the other side (driver) will not lock down with power motor. I tried to lock this side down with the manual ****, but no luck. Am I overlooking something? Thanks!

very common issue. you dont need the power motors to lock it in place.
you will find a spline shaft coming out on the side of each pull down.

you can turn it fairly easy by hand with a hand towel - gently pulling down on the top as you turn the spline makes it go faster.

or get a socket to fit it .. if you do that, make sure it is the exact fit or you will damage the splines. cant remember the size that fits.
