Finding Allanté parts -
you will find that Cadillac did a few smart things like use standard parts
from other cars. you will find that some parts from MB and Porsche are
the same as those used on the early Allantés.
in the same subject, there are many, many parts in the Allanté fleet that
use the same parts as many many GM models sitting in the salvage yards.
unfortunately, little of that is do***ented in a way that we can easily use it.
my last find? a set of BOSE speakers out of a GM car that are 99.9 %
identical to the "unique" Allanté BOSE 200W system. the difference?
a couple of mounting tabs. cost? $20 each vs Allanté's $150 each.
it was not the other car makers that used Cadillac parts, but Cadillac that
used their parts. IMO, a smart move by Cadillac.

Not an earth-shattering discovery, but perhaps interesting....
I ordered a replacement cigarette lighter for the wife's 87 Mercedes 300E and found that it is an exact duplicate
for the lighter in my 89 Allante. If yours needs replacing, it is much cheaper to get one that fits an 87 Mercedes,
and most likely other years as well, than try to find an "Allanté-specific" lighter.
