Need help for Father-in-law. His Allante has a CD stuck inside the player. Anyone know what to try to get it out?

I've heard using a credit card inserted in the slot can help lift the CD up (or dislodge it) so it can be extracted.

As far as fixing the player itself, contact La Jolla Audio Repair (they have a web site) and ask for Clive. They are experts at repairing and refurbishing GM CD players and other audio.
