I have just been givin a 94 Deville with 37,000 miles on it. Everything works great and the car is like new. My dad drove the car before I recieved it and played burned cd's in it. The cd's played until it got the "error" code on the player. Now when I try to play a uncopied cd it loads but gets the error code. It won't eject the cd unless you turn off the car and open the door and hit the eject button? Is the a way to reset the player? It acts like it is tring to read the cd and locks up.

 

i believe that there may be a security code issue...do you have the manual?

or have you tried cleaning the laser?
