Default bose front speaker amp

as mentioned in a previous thread that i picked up last saturday from the local u pull-it yardan infinety q45 front door bose speaker enclousure.this morning i took my door panel off and the speaker enclosure too. the 4" speaker was the same right down to the same part number.(now i have a spare speaker).the amp waspractically identical but had the same connector plug.i saw that the amp i took out of my allante had a small black burn spot on the board.anyway let me tell everyone that it was plug and play.the speaker parts were interchangeable.everything including the connecters werethe same.it cost me $11 for the speaker enclosure. now i have to get the door panel back on.i hope this info is helpful to other allante owner looking for replacement parts.i have managed tobuy 2 more working front door bose amps and have tested them in my system while the enclosure was still open(plug and play)and the ampssound terrific .if anyone needs them i will sell them fora steal.hit me at jno2968326@aol.com.

That is good information, I had man with an Allante wait 5 months to get speakers back from rebuilder because amps failed. (not uncommon) New replacement amps were on back order. I think it bothered him a little I had the car from early April til mid October. He got to back so he could garage it a month later.

hi stomper, thanks for thelink but i had saw that one and it doesn't provide nowhere near enough info.it really tells nothing about aligning the floating plate with the door handle holes which is the key to getting the job done.

As I recall when I put mine together(# years ago),I remember that floating plate, and I placed some modeling clay around the plate to align it to stay in place then reassembled. It saved a lot of aggrivation.

I wish I knew, but I been lucky and had not had to deal with that.
However, if it is a matter of hodling TWO parts aligned, may i recommend a bit of BEE's WAX?

For several decades, bee's was has been part of my tool bags. IT holds just about anything together so that
one can perform assy. Readily used by the USAF in assy of jet aircraft and engines.

IF you dont have a hobby shop near by, go to the supermarket and buy a jar of honey with the honecomb
in the jar. There is your bee's wax, the honeycomb.

lol
