Default diconnecting battery

i need to disconect the battery on my 94 fleetwood because i have to take off some cop lights installed on it. So its negative then positive when disconnecting but im not sure if im supposed to take of the negative. I think its grounded to the frame or wherever, but i hate electricity. Im not sure if i should just take off the positive. It would have one of the white cables attached to the negative like the positive does if i were to take off the negative right?

Take negitive cable loose first, and reconnect it last. It is a good practice to have key out of ignition while connecting, disconnecting, or connecting jumper cables to battery.
