Default battery
please advice how to hook up 2 battery so they work independent of each other so that i can hook up a inverter

so youre trying to power different things with different batteries? are you going to run seperate alt wires?

You need to buy a connector at an auto part store or a RV camper store. It will have a diode in it so the original battery wont die.
