Default 1996 radio casstte has warble

The drive belt was worn and I replaced it on my 1996 fleetwood radio.
It now plays and works ok except it has too much warble.
I know it could not have been like this new.
I replaced it with a 14.7 inch belt, however I think the route design is way too long
and the belt should have been thicker. Considering the deck controls are quite good and the radio
was costly, unless mine is not the norm, it should play better.
Anyone else have this problem?

Got tired of the warble, and my local wrecking yard had a sale, so I found a radio from a Buick that closely resembled Cad radio. Spent about $25 on it and with the
manual and internet figured out the wiring. The Cad harness from the car has 2 plugs with different colors for car wire and radio wires. The mounting is going to be the biggest obstacle since it's so tight. I cut part of the backing board that keeps radio from going too far back and hitting dash harness. Still working on fabricating modified mount
but the Buick radio was a theftlock. It was not locked and everything works, radio, cassette(with no warble) and also has a CD player. The unit looks so close to Cad radio
very small differences and size is same but mounting ears are different.
So far everything works fine, only one thing doesn't and that is dimming circuit is either bad in radio or not compatible with Cad. Regardless small detail, can't wait to finish
modified mount, currently test mounted and ran through paces. It plays better, looks good (sans Cad logo) and worth the bother. I'm sure it was going to be near impossible to find actual Cad radio 1996 with same features as this 2001-2003 Buick Century model.

Improved my modified brackets made of hobby steel, been using it and looks and works fine. I may at some point use original radio as template for sizeing
out contemporary radio that plays dvd and full double din with usb, but for now this is fine.
