Default Need new headlights for 2003 escalade - can i use a $150 set from ebay if i have hid?

I have been looking for new set of headlights for my 2003 Escalade. I have factory HID's with the ballasts. My headlights are yellowed and faded on the inside, and will not clean up - I've tried everything, they just look old. My question is, I only need the plastic housings, not new ballasts and everything, can I buy a $150 set from ebay and make them work? I know the ones that come with new ballasts are like $400/each. I want to keep my HIDs, I just want new clear housings. Thanks for any help you can give.

It's been a while since I had my 03' Escalade, if I remember correctly the ballast wire goes thru the headlight assy and is part of that assy, I remember someone on another forum buying lights like you describe but they were pre 2003 before the HIDs (2002) probably why they are cheaper.

My 04 also came with HIDs but was easy to replace the headlights.
