Default Drivers side headlight won't dim

Hello all, I have an '08 Escalade and the drivers side headlight stays on bright all the time. The passenger side works as it should it dims and brightens as I move the switch handle. I have replaced the bulb on both sides just to see if there is a difference, but still have the same problem on the drivers side, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I swapped the ballast between the drivers and passenger side and no difference. Any help would be great.

It is the solenoid that is part of the headlamp assembly. Does anyone know if that part can be replaced?

I swapped out relays that I know were good and it was no different. I took the entire headlight assembly from the drivers side and plugged it into the passender side and still no difference. I have a projector assembly coming, it has the lense and solenoid combined. I will let everyone know if I could get the headlamp assembly apart to install the new projector and if that was the issue.

It was the solenoid on the projector assembly. There is a little metal shade that moves up and down when the solenoid is activated by the switch on the steering column. The light bulb stays on the same brightness all the time and the shade is what makes the light dim or bright. I tried to tear the headlamp assembly apart, but the front clear lense and the black backing are glued together and nearly impossible to take apart. Funny thing is, I tried slightly heating up the headlamp assembly in the overn to loosen the glue and pry it apart, it started to come apart, but I couldn't get it, anyway, the solenoid started working again. I had already ordered a new headlamp assembly before I did this, so I just put in the new one.
