Thought I had the dreaded pan leak on my bought-used 2001 Eldorado but, after closer inspection, the old oil trail led to the nylon plug at the front of the oil pan. It was also slightly wet with oil in the connector. At first I thought this was the oil pressure switch, but soon learned it is the oil level switch. Kind of nasty to get out (and back in) but I believe this cured most, if not all, of my oil leak issue.
Something to consider before going for a pan reseal for big money.
