BODY CONTROL MODULE the issue or??
Hi all, im the owner of a 1989 Cadillac Eldorado. It currently has no functioning heat or AC. I was told that its the body control module thats the issue by a knowledgeable coworker. Before going through with a replacement I figured I'd ask on here if anyone has experience with this sort of issue. The fans blow the air from outside, but it doesnt get cold or hot. As i press the warmer button my front fans stop blowing air and only the front defroster fan keeps blowing but still same temp. When we plugged it in to read the codes it was saying the vehicle was moving and not recognizing lights on among other issues (kept disconnecting from his machine too). Sometimes when i start the car the center console screen doesnt turn on at all, but the buttons still work. Do you think the computer/bcm is the issue or is it the vacuum lines that are the likely culprit or something else entirely? Sorry if this kind of post isn't allowed. Thanks for any help.
