Lifting Car for Service Question
I am new to the site and this has probably been posted somewhere on this site before however I am leaving for a road trip in the morning so if I could get some quick replies I would highly appreciate it.
Yesterday I took the car over to the a tire shop and had them put the car on a lift and rotate the tires, then it occurred to me that I have been told not to do it that way as it screws up the rear air leveling system. Anyway, after the rotation of the tires and paid the bill I noticed the rear of the car was higher and almost rock solid. Took it back to the shop and talked with them and was told that they do it all the time with no problems. I asked another tire shop and they told me some times they have to unplug the lift systems before they put them on the lift.
My questions are: Can these cars be lifted this way and if so what is the procedure?
Will this car eventually return to normal?
Is there a fix for this situation?
Thanx
