I've got a `68 deville and if I give it to much gas it does the wierdest thing. The pedal will go all the way to the floor, the trany makes a horible sound when it downshifts and the car takes off for about two or three seconds. Hitting the brakes does nothing, I have to just let it do its thing. I've checked all obvious thing like fluid. But I'm just not sure what it is.

Also i know my cadi has power steering but i cant find the resivour to top it off.
