Hey I've been in the works of fixing all sorts of problems on my 98 Deville automatic I just got from my brother so it will pass inspection.. aaaand last night I discovered a big one. While accelerating, the car just stalled! I had to pop it into neutral, start it, and go back to drive while coasting in traffic. That's just not safe at all... and then on top of that, it did it again 5 minutes later! Luckily I was close to home. Any ideas what could cause this and how to fix? Problems I have already discovered consist of a bad starter (fixed), corroded headlight relay (fixed), overheating (radiator flush tonight), nothing but static on both AM and FM frequencies on all stations (trying new power antenna when comes in mail), rear air bag suspension won't lift (still need to assess), rear driver window won't go down (probably just a motor), C1234 current code - left rear wheel speed sensor open or shorted (no clue where or what this is), P0146 current code - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 3 (replace an 02 sensor maybe?), P0741 current code - TCC System Stuck Off (tcc=torque converter clutch? and maybe the reason why it stalls?), P1599 history code - Engine Stall or Near Stall Detected (well i am well aware thank you! lol), P1641 history code - Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit (meaning check engine light's out?), and B2473 history code - High Beam Fault (probably had to do with the relay). Pretty nightmarish huh?

 

any help with any of these problems will be greatly appreciated!

 

Simplest would be carbon built in throttle body. Codes listed should not cause stalling. Check grounds. May need scanner to figure out.

 

ok, i'll check out the throttle body for the stalling. i already wire brushed the contactson the battery terminals, engine block, and starter.
