Hi Everyone,
New here and a first time Deville buyer. I love my 2001 Deville. Got it with only 39,000 miles on it. In great shape so far. Noticed there are alot of these on the road. Was this an exceptionally good year? What is the difference between the Seville and the DeVille? Any major things I should know about the Deville.
Thanks.
Eugene

I just got a 1998 Deville last week, and honestly, this is the most comfortable ride I've been in. More comfortable then my bed and more fun to drive then my Eclipse Convertiable I use to have.

YOU WILL LOVE IT!! I'm on my 4th one in a row and wouldn't drive anything else. Just got a new '06 DTS w/ the latest technology - hands-free calling, voice recognition, OnStar, turn-by-turn nav, etc, etc. Always bought used ones before this one and never had a problem. (I wish I had kept my '78 w/ 212k miles on it and going strong)Yours isn't even broken in until about 50k miles.

Enjoy - and welcome to the forum!

Welcome EugeneCS, No arguments here, you made a great choice in a car. I think you have to remember that he 2000 to 2005 look just about the sameand I figure with 100,000 to 150,000 produced per year for North America you would see alot. Also you have a tendency to notice the car more now that you have one.

If you like the car now take it out on the highway and let it roar, we have an technique called the Italian Tune Up you should learn about. There are a few threads under Deville and General Tech about this method that improves engine performance and reduces oil consumption in the Northstar. Good luck with the car.
