Default Climate Control Question...

Ok so I just got a lovely little Deville Concours from my grandfather and it does something a tat funny... The climate control and INST / AVG millage info blanks out at random times. Ill be driving, or ideling and all of the sudden the A/C, or Heat turns off. The fan still goes, it just blows outside air. And I cant turn it off because the Climate control buttons stopping working until the display works again. Same for the little counter on the other side of the dash with the AVG / INST buttons. The two little screens just read "--" for Outdoor/Inside Temp and Millage info. So just to recap incase anybody doesnt follow me... The two left/right panels that are on the side of the main display that offer Climate Control and AVG/INST millage info suddenly at random stop giving information they just read "--". As well the buttons are non-functional until the readouts return to normal. Is there anything I should do, wires to check, computers to replace? In addition Im not sure if this is related but it nows asks me to "CHANGE TRANS FLUID" .

You have a data communication concern. Your codes make no sense at all. Only suggestion is to check every ground you can find to make sure there is no corrosion. If it stays the same then take it to a pro, or start guessing with your money.
