Default Climate Control on STS

Hello,

i just purchased a used 99 STS with 108K miles on it. Runs like a champ.
The one problem i have is that I have no airflow at anytime from the climate control system.
The blower motor is working as I can hear it roaring away but there is no airflow from any of the registers, defrost or floor outlets.
when I turn on the a/c from the control the compressor does come on & the a/c seems to cool as the suction hose under the hood is nice and cold
but no cold air inside the cabin.

Any suggestions?

thanks

There maybe acm code stored. Most likely it is a mode door actuator and it located under drivers side of dash.To replace it dash will have to come out to replace it.I would have diagnosed to be sure, because it is fairly expensive repair,if you call around you will have an idea what it going to cost if I right. Hope it helps.

Thanks Guys,

I took the car to Signer Buick Cadillas here in Fremont CA & they checked it out & told me the BCM Module & Blend door motor are bad & need to be replaced.

check out the estimate for parts & labor: $4233.77 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid $5100 for the car!!!! Now i know why the last owner sold it.

I think I would get a second opinion, but I would not mention anything about their diagnosis. If you dont think you can I would night drop/early bird it, give only the info of what it is doing.Let them tell you whats wrong with it.If you bought the locally and there is only one dealer in town the same tech who scared the previous owner into getting rid of it likely looked at again. The bcm is made up of several modules not one and the only acm I saw fail had a 45 slug in it.I also never heard a blend or hot / cold door cause your concern..But I really saying is I don't trust the diag.I do believe you need an actuator, but it's other 4000.00.the of a/c repairs question. Hope it helps
