I own a 2003 Cadillac DeVille. I live in the hot Mohave desert of Arizona. Lately, when I turn the air conditioner on there is a delay of a few minutes before it starts blowing. It doesn't happen every time--yet anyway.

What is the problem and is it something I can repair myself without having to depend on highway robber mechanics? Thank you, anyone.
