Power antenna on my 99 DeVille only works manually, raises and lowers by hand only, no resistance (gears,etc) felt. Anybody ever tear into one of these? Are they rebuildable? $235 for a new assembly from Dealer, but would prefer to fix if possible. Thanks in advance for your replies.

 

There is a tape inside the motor-works that is almost always the problem. The repair kit is under $30. GM part #22038195.....at least that is the number I have recorded.

 

junk yard if you want the original one or go buy a replace ment universal kinda steep now i think mines was 75 or 100 bucks.
