'95 Deville Concours - turns off while driving
Hi, Irecently purchaseda '95 Deville Concours Northstar with 64000 miles, and I just love the way it floats at high speeds! Best ride of my life, especially since I'm a big guy, makes it easy getting in and out. Anyways, a day after purchasing it, I was driving around to enjoy the car a bit when it suddenly turned off on me. It's happened a couple times while I was driving, about 15-45 minute intervals. Behind a light, driving on the streets, and happened once while I was driving on the freeway from work. I end up pulling over and starting it up again. I've onlychanged spark plugs and done an oil change since I got it, but this problem is having me worried that I'll end up in an accident. Does anyone know what the problem could be? A smaller note that came to my attention was that the car would have a burst of acceleration for a split second then go normal, this happens every couple minutes. I looked through the forums and found something the accelaration but not a real clear answer. Any help would be wonderful on these two matters. Sorry if its a repeat.

RE: '95 Deville Concours - turns off while driving
These are the codes that showed up in order:
P031
P052
P095
P109
P137
NO IPC CODE
NO APC CODE
NO SIC CODE (or SIR, couldn't read my own handwritting...[&:])
T073
S036
S044
PCM?
That's all of them. I forgot to mention earlier that the car cranks but doesn't start on the first or even second try, but when it does start it's fine. Also, is there a link or website that lists what these codes stand for. I searched here and other forums and google, but no luck. Thanks!

Check grounds at engine and battery cables including condition. If you are going to try to do your own repairs invest in factory service manuals. Is ses light on while driving?

Thanks, I'll check the grounds at both. The SES light is not on during driving. When driving, no lights come on in regards to stating that something is wrong or needs attention.

My 97 sedan deville recently started having stalling problems after having it for 2 months. So far, it's only done it while stopped at intersections. It did it twice tonight at the same intersection. My grandfather owns a 93 sedan deville and it also has stalling problems too. It's done that ever since he's owned the car too. He's had it since like 2001.
