hi everyone,hope we are all enjoying our caddis!!! i just picked up a 95 deville.car runs fine but there is no dash display at all.even the check engine light comes and goes? i cant scan for codes either.it wont give any data? could this be a bcm prob? a bad ground? or bad cluster? ive seen the dash prob before but never all the idiot and check engine lights out too.any help will be appreciated!! thanks, bob.

 

Hey Bob: Caddy's are fun aren't they!!! You are right when you suggested possible bad ground, as this is behind a good percentage of the issues to do with electronics. Check all the black leads that you can possibly see under the dash and hood. A lot a Caddy's have more than one fuse block as well so maybe see if yours has another . Possiblility of ECC control head as well, so many things and only so much patience to go around. Check Tail-Lic. fuse, check I/P fuse ( of course) all grounds clean and tight. Voltage can be supplied through the tail-lic. fuse tosome of theI/P lights so a good check of the fuse block is in order.Good luck with that....................................
