I bought the car 4 days ago i didnt even think to try it till on the way home the clock works and i can hear static through the speakers took the radio out everythings hooked however the antenna cable is half severed im thinking that is it but the tape deck dont work either oh yeah it's a acdelco radio any ideas would be greatly appriciated. i dont have the money for a aftermarket cd player yet so please dont suggest that.

 

well lol..... all gm radios are delco of that error...... really sounds like your on the right rail with the antenna wire. that should be looked at/ replaced even if ya had some extra $$ for aftermarket set up...... at least you could get some tunes! the tape deck...... lol is it 8 track? jokin...... does it eat tapes or doesnt work at all?

i was meaning it wasnt the bose stereo it dont work at all just the clock and static is all it gives me

 

I have similar problem with my 95 deville. The tweeters work, but the drivers side speaker comes and goes and seem to have mostly went-it just pops every once in a while now. The passenger side speaker never works and the back speakers come on only on hot days. Don't understand these Delco stereos. They seem to be crap.
