Default 93 Deville RKE problem.

Hello
Can you tell me where the RKE receiver is located on the 93 Deville?
I have a 93 Deville that the RKE Remote Keyless Entry stopped working. One day both RKE fobs no longer worked.
I can short A to G on the ALDL connector and the door locks work and the trunk unlocks.
Went through both key fobs cleaned contacts and replaced battery’s but did not help.

Reciever I believe in under package tray behind rear seat. Have you tested fobs with fob tester? Availible at dealer and/or some parts stores.

Thanks for the reply Slowroll.
I have not had the bobs tested yet but they are like new and both stopped working at the same time.
I am hoping to find a bad solder joint on the receiver board but they go bad also.
The receivers for the early to mid 90’s W-bodies, Regal, Cutless, etc. are bad about bad solder joints from vibration. Those receivers are mounted under the rear package tray. I was hoping the Deville box would be in a more accessible location. LOL

Default 93 sixty special

My Rke entry quit. I have changed the batteries attempted to reprogam remote when i use jumper wire the doors will lock and unlock. When i push remote they will unlock once then nothing. Has anyone had this problem. Everything else on car is working. I have read that the trunk should open when the jumper wire is in place mine does not. What can cause this is this part of the problem. Have u found what caused yours to stop working?

Have remote test to be sure it works. Does power trunk work from button in glove box? If not, then it is a separate issue.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I have the exact same problem on my 92 DeVille. I re-program the remotes including a new one, and the work once then not again. I'm assuming it's a bad receiver which I gather is located under the rear package tray.

Thanks!
