'91 intermittent starting problem
'91 DeVille developing intermittent starting problem. Over the last week or so, once or twice, engine would turn over but not start, then after a few secondsstart right up. Last night no luck. Pulled off cover to throttle body, tried to startherand no gas, not even the smaell of gas. Dropped the fuse block, ran my thumb over the fuses and several seemed to push back into place. Tried starting again and presto, fired right up. This morning I had no problems starting at all. Did I get lucky or is there a tndency for the fuses to loosen up? Ver y unsettling not knowing if I'm golden or stranded.

RE: '91 intermittent starting problem
Fuses can get loose, in fact any electrical connection can get loose, especially as heat builds up over long periods of time and plastic connectors begin to degrade. So no fuel is definitely why a car turns over and does not start. To satiisfy yourself check the connection on the sending unit, it is in the tank but juts out the top. Did you consider the fuel filter at all?

http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html#ideThis link has a lot of good information. It tells you how to get the codes. Get the error codes if any and post then we can start figuring out what's happening.
