Default 90 Deville Interior Lights

Hey i have a 1990 Deville, my interior lights come on and work very good but they drain the battery completely in like 5 minutes. How do i know..... because when i took the fuse out for the interior lights the battery was ok. that lets me know it was those lights. what can be causing the lights to drain the battery like that.

seriously they kill the battery in 5 min??? like the car starts great, then 5 min later the battery doesn't have enough juice to start the engine?

thats so weird i dont know where to begin other than possibly the battery or alternator.

cuz the only way for the lights to kill a good battery is if there is a short and they are drawing big amps. but if there is a short the fuse would have blown. Or being on for hours.
