I own a 99 Deville, and recently the power antenna stopped working. Has anyone opened one of these up to see what's inside? I'd be curious to know if it's easily repairable.

 

I had an 89 Sedan Deville where the power antenna broke. I had to disconnect the power because it kept going and going. I looked online, and there were 2 choices: a $6 kit to fix it, or a $12 generic power antenna. With the $6 kit, there a lot of small parts, so you need good eyes. With the generic one (from all parts stores), it fits in the slot and no one will know the difference. I sold the car before I could get it fixed.
