even for the emergency vehicles like police cars?

BTW, I got all-terrain KOs on my 6,000 lb 4x4 stomper and it grips the ice and snow well, really well.
cuz of those tires, it is exempt from using chains in both CA and Oregon while in snow covered roads - but i am still required to carry a set in the vehicle just in case.

No studs allowed on anything in Southern Ontario. If you live in Northern Ontario theyare legal from Octoner 1st to April 30th. Some provinces have mandatory snow tire laws though. The ironic thing is that a Northern Ontario resident can come to Toronto with studded tires but a Toronto resident can't go to Northern Ontario and buy them.

Do you think we have too much government intervention?

Sometimes the feeling that the governments are overwhelming tends to overwhelm me.
We got way to much Govt and Canada probably is alike in many ways.

Democracy has a price .. is not measured in any currency, but in measures of bureaucracy.

But, I do rather deal with idiotic bureaucrats than deadly tyrants and that ideology helps me keep my sanity.
