Default new guy and GM Supplier code question

Hi

I'm looking to buy a new car and leaning toward GM for the first time in a long time. Looking at the new CTS but my local dealer won't get below MSRP. I know it's a popular car but this seems a bit much given the economy and the dealer's growing inventory.

I hear from this board and other GM sites that there are employee and supplier discounts and someone sent me to the GM website where you can enter a GM Supplier Code (if you have one) and get the reduced price.

I'm hoping someone on this board might have a GM Supplier discount code that they aren't using that can help me seal the deal. Otherwise I think I'll look elsewhere (I have an 03 Acura TL which has been problem free from new) and maybe just wait for the new TL. They come fully loaded at one price, pretty easy dealing with them but the new CTS intruiged me.

Thanks!!

Default RE: new guy and GM Supplier code question

I work for a company large enough to have an employee discount agreement with GM. Whether we login from our company network or externally, all that does is get to a page which provides dealer information (which ones are local to me that are willing to participate) and instructions (who to contact). We still work with a local dealer for delivery and I have to show our company (photo) ID to complete the transaction with the local dealer. Maybe it is set up differently for others... but this is how it worked when I got my 2003 CTS and I just got a 2008.
