Getting rid of a 2006 corvette and looking to buy a reliable vehicle that gets 25+ mpg on the highway. Will likely put 20k plus on the car for a couple of years. Have looked at Hondas and Nissans as well. Found a couple of 04 CTSs with 50k miles asking around $17k. Is this the kind of car i can get 125k out of without expecting major issues? Or does it fall apart at 60k? Any and all help is appreciated.

 

I have an '04 CTS with 178K kms (over 100K miles) and there's nothing mechanically wrong with it. I'd say pay attention to the oil level, it seems to burn oil at a very slow rate... other than that, with the Sport Mode on, I think you'll enjoy "smoking Ricers" with Grampa's Caddy! LOL!

 

Over all pretty good car, only real issues cam cover gaskets and rear diff. Car should easily go well beyond 100k
