Default Does anybody have stories about Leasing?

Good or bad, I want to know about it. I still have 1yr left on my lease agreement, but I am trying to find out what happens once the lease agreement is over. I want to continue making the same payments I am now but with the possible ownership of the vehicle.

monthly payments on a lease are GENERALLY cheaper then if you buy.

many leases are geared towards tax deductions and lower monthly payments.
most leases have an option to buy and the details of the buy are usually spelled out.

IMO, the positive is that you know the car and should know what it is worth
if you were buying in the open market. if you can get it for less, for a car that
you know well, you got a bargain..

Dont get stuck on the "i shouldnt pay that much to buy since i leased it for X yrs".
It is all about $$$ .. they know what they can get in the open market, and that
is usually the bottom line unless the lease contract sweetens the pot fo ryou.

SmartLease is the only way to lease a vehicle in my opinion. I never believed in leases, felt like thowing money away, but with the resale values and possible accidents, leasing is the smart way to go.
