Default 2008 CTS blown fuse and dying while driving

I have a 2008 Cadillac CTS, a few weeks ago I went into the store and left the ignition on the battery was dead when I came out I had to have a jumped. After that the power steering started to go in and out while I was driving. Sometimes it would work and other times it would just stop. A few days ago I was driving and the engine just quit I pulled over to the side of the road would not even turn over. Had it towed to a repair shop, they said fuse number 28 in the engine block fuse housing was blown. Replaced a fuse could not get it to blow again thought maybe it might be The electronic control module but we weren’t sure. I picked the car up drove about a half a block in the engine died again and it’s sitting at the shop right now any idea what this could be?
