Hi guys. Ive had my cts for over a year now. has 141k miles and tuned everything up since previous owner didn't do squat to maintain the car in top notch condition. I recently got a valve job that ran me up $2800 since the car kept idling and engine light was blinking. After this incident, i received the car from the dealership and said everything ran like new. Turns out... it did not. My car did not want to turn on this morning up until i stepped on the gas to give it a boost. then my engine light came back on and car jerks when i begin to break and when i begin accelerate.Not to mention it idles like crazy when im at a red light, Now i have to tow it back to the mechanic because it can be an ignition coil or something worse. Anybody else experienced this weird jerking and bee sounding thing that comes from the engine?

 

There no way of knowing, since engine was just repaired. Hopefully it's something simple related to previous repair.

 

I hope, I'm taking it to the shop, just waiting for the towing. Apparently it's not safe to drive under those conditions. I'll keep an update as to what it can be if anyone else has the same problem. Crappy part is towing is 100 and if it's an easy repair then I just lost money.

 

If it is the shops fault get reimbursed for towing.

 

So they finally checked my car and apparently my throttle body had a shortage. Their estimating it to be 1k but the guy is lowering the price for me to 560. Is it work getting it done there for 560 since it has the warranty. ?

 

IDK 560 is a lot. I would have to call around. New throttle bodies sell for 300 or less and used for 125 or less on ebay.
