most likely...get the radiator cap from the dealership and your coolant check will be gone...

I had the same issue"check coolant" with my 2003 CTS. I took it to the dealer. They told me that there was a hose leak and fixed it.

If the light is still on go to the dealer they will diagnose the issue and fix it plus you have to get the light reset. well advance auto can do thAT for you.

On a similar issue, I removed the radiator cap to check coolant level and the coolant sensor. The mechanic diagnosed a radiator hose leak and replaced it.

There's no radiator cap. There's a reservoir on drivers side with marking to fI'll while cold under the hood.

hey i had a question how much did the hose repair cost you? It seems like i am having the same issue causing my engine to smoke, but there are no signs of over heating.. they want to charge me $250 so i just wanna make sure i am not getting ripped off.

This thread is several years old, so I doubt the price would be the same. Start your own thread of your concern; include year and model along with engine size of your car.
