91 Allante Sparkplugs
Alright, Well I've got a new set of spark plugs for my Allante, and distributor cables. however, My primary problem is how the heck is a larger fellow like myself supposed to access the front and rear plugs, I read the previous Thread about removing the intake hose and by sitting on top engine , but I'm curious about accessing the front 4 plugs, , I also need to remove the plastic covers that hold the cables in place without breaking them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. also, any way to fix the motorized latch problem on the top?

Three ways per this post.
Briefly:
spark plug removal, three ways ...
- put the car on a lift and you can reach the plugs from underneath,
- remove intake hose and by sitting on top engine, you can reach them
- put a jack under engine and undue the mounts, lower engine a couple of inches and reach plugs from topside

front plugs are not a problem with good tools.
rear plugs, read the subject thread on the couple of methods - I know of no other way to do it unless you are willing to cut the firewall.
this is one area where you will need high quality sockets and extensions with U-joints. the cheap stuff are way to thick and just wont work .. something like Proto, thin walls, do a nice job.
be careful with the headlights .. i have helped more than one person hunt down replacement headlights that got broken when they sat/leaned on them and cracked them .. going rate? $300
as to the plastic primary cable holders/covers, expect them to be brittle and expect some breakage.
