I have an 84 Seville, sometimes the pedal is very hard to push and won't hardly stop the car an other times it goes right to the floor but stops the car better. I have bled the brakes and thats no help. It has a va***m brake booster, could that be the problem?

 

Does parking brake work? Engine has aux vacuum pump,check for vacuum leaks and colapsed vacuum hoses.

 

Parking brake does not work, plenty of vacuum, check all the lines.
Any ideas?

Bad parking brake actuators will cause very low brake pedal, making car hard to stop. You may need new reman rear calipers and pads to correct parking brake. I suggest to fix parking brake first, then see if your concern corrected.
